no-one love your pet as much as you do, but at Yuppie Puppy we come a close second!
We are situated on the premises of a well-known
veterinarian in Queenswood so medical help is always available for your pet should it be needed. This is especially helpful for dogs
who are suffering from epileptic seizures. We can also take your pet round for its vaccinations whilst visiting us.
Whether your pet
needs a full grooming service or just a quick wash, we can accommodate for it. We welcome all breeds, and pamper them with the same
love and affection you would. We will be sure to have them returned with their tail wagging with delight.
If you are a first time client we will have a brief consultation to find out what your pet requires, including finding out about any health issues or problem areas.

Humans
like to have clear skin, a sweet smell, thick shiny hair and a really great hair cut; and we like our dogs to look and smell great
too. But grooming is about more than good looks. Good grooming means great health for both dogs and humans.
But while you know how
to comb your own hair and take a shower, not all pet owners know or understand how to effectively and efficiently groom their pets.
This is why we are here. Is your Yorkie a mess of tangles until you have her/him shaved down every spring? Is your Schnauzer a dishevelled
mess of stray wiry hairs? How is your Bearded Collie’s skin under all that coat? And what about those wrinkles on your Crinkly Pug?
Are they dry and clean? And your Beagle’s ears free from infection? Have you figured out how to resolve that annoying hotspot on your
yellow Lab? (If you think it’s annoying, just imagine how he feels!)
Grooming is directly related to health in many ways. A matted
coat can hide and aggravate a host of skin conditions, which may in turn signify more serious health problems. A dull or balding coat
can reveal medical conditions such as hypothyroidism (symmetric hair loss is a clue), mange (a parasitic condition), or nutritional
deficiencies (low protein could mean dull, sparse hair). Dogs with skin folds, floppy ears, furry paw pads, protruding eyes, flat
faces or dental issues all need special kinds of care as well.

Yuppie Puppy is supporting Paws R Us. They are an Animal Rescue Group focusing
predominantly on the rescue, networking and re-homing of rescue dogs. We cannot always help financially but we help by sprucing up
these dogs! I’m sure that it is much more likely that a “yuppie puppy” will find a forever home than a dirty, neglected, scrawny doggie.
